Default Rear sprocket movement.

Hi,

I have a bit of movement in my rear sprocket, am I right in thing its the cushdrive rubber? It also coincides with poor gear changes.

I can move it slighty towards me and back towards the hub again.

You mean in-out? Check to make sure your spacers are in properly (or missing).

Should check axle and sprocket bolts are tight. Rubbers do not do anything in this axis.

Has back end been disassembled recently?

Is this a pointy or a curvy?

Check everything is there that should be there per these diagrams

http://www.ronayersmotorcycles.com/f...1999&fveh=2175

http://www.ronayersmotorcycles.com/f...003&fveh=10157

And check your rear axle nut and rear sprocket nuts are torqued correctly (60nm and 100nm).

And it should go without saying but don't ride it until you've sussed this as some of these possibilities have significant chance of causing damage to bike and/or falling off.

That means you falling off, not just bits from the bike.

Id say if the there was a spacer worn or missing and the sprocket hub/carrier was loose then the wheel would have play in it. If not then the sprocket mounting nuts must be loose?
