To be honest making them higher is just going to strain your arms more as it's a sit up riding position, I've got renthal ultra lows on mine and they are a wider bar.
The main difference is the strength of them and how light they are. Massive improvement over stock bars! |

better getting risers for the stock bars. the extra risers fit onto the original bar risers and there are may different types.

yeh i want to get some black bars on it just not sure to go down the rizoma route, they are pretty but bit more expensive that renthals so wondering if they are worth the extra pennies?

depends what you term as awful. everyone is different in shape and size then add in riding style. so what suits one might not suit another and is all trial and error.
i hate the S version bars and sitting position with a vengeance while others love it. |

Well it's all personal preference. I can't vouch for rizoma as I've never used them so maybe it's worth searching up and compairing them. Whatever you buy will be better made than the stock bars IMHO.

I have Renthals and custom risers that raised and pushed back my bars by a significant amount. My risers are four inches high and have an inch and a half of lay back. The Renthal is a standard motoX bar and is just lovely. The position is super comfortable and I can ride happily for hours.
My risers are custom ones that I bought and then had modified by a local engineer friend. I had to have my naked top yoke machined down to accept them though. The work and expense was worth every little bit though. |
