Get your self a terminal bus before the battery, you can hide it somewhere neat then take the single connector on.
I'm a sucker for it, I've got to have neatly neatly wiring. |

if like me you have a mottobatt battery fitted then you have 2 pairs of terminals,so plenty of room for the wires

In the past where I have been in a situation like that I have used a junction box. One heavy earth wire and live feed in and available with 7-9-12 exit feeds.Available from most caravan or good motor factors and the are waterproof.Use two core cable as required for your exit feeds.
Smaller boxes are available if you only need a few exit feeds. This way you only have the bike leads and two extra connected to the battery making a tidy fitting with ring tab connectors so easy to remove if necessary and all the other connections in the box and waterproof. You can even be fancy and put the ring terminals on the live to starter relay rather than battery itself... only one connector on battery then.

I have a few things hard wired in to the switch live.. heated grips, autocomm, mandys rear heated grips but still have a couple of cig lighter sockets and stuff just wired direct..
presently though my battery will charge up.. but its not holding the charge .. I guess its a PITA to find out why ..? before buying a new battery ... something is draining it when its sat still. |
