Default just had accident =[

just had accident coming home.

A lady walked out on me while I was doing 30mph, I hit her and hurt her. Feeling pretty sympathetic for her. Despite her not looking for me as she crossed the road.

bike is fine and so am I as it was a 30mph accident. I should feel angry because she didn't look for me as pedestrians often do. It happen right AFTER a controlled set of traffic lights! which were green. none the less she was past all the railing's and zigzag lines.

dark outside wearing dark clothing, i have a feeling i might of been able to stop if i had seen her sooner.

advice on what to do? spoken to police they done their part, gona contact insurance.

witness's made their accounts too.

That's unfortunate!

However you know you did nothing wrong and know that what she did was wrong so don't dwell on it.

She will probably look next time..

Only thing i am worried about is that people say i was going 'too fast' and being that i have a noisey exhaust it can sound like i am going faster then i am. and I know i was doing 30mph because the bike laid on the floor with little damage and i am fine to despite wearing little protection. Witness's given their statements which i will never know about.

Gutted.
The police will notice those elements and work out you weren't going too fast. Any statement from a witness (from when I had my off) about speed will be taken with a pinch of salt if she wasn't injured badly and you and your bike are ok.
Will your bike need much attention?

So she didn't hear you either? Was she wearing headphones? Using her phone?

Dopey bint. Careful what you say, make sure anything you say portrays you as a complete saint and her diving out of good cover in perfect camo right into your front wheel.

So many people do this when I'm cycling. Less when I'm on the bike with an engine. It's Darwinism and I'm sorry you and the bike paid the price. Of course I feel sorry for her but she can be thankful you weren't a coach.

Were you riding with a tinted visor and was this noted by the police?
Other than that if your posts are accurate Im sure you'll be fine. Lesson learned on her part I would assume, just a shame peds dont have insurance.

I've only been cycling 2 days and I'm starting to think all those cyclist who pi55 an moan about people walking out, vehicles turning etc have a point. Leaving Leeds is a nightmare for folk blindly walking around (earphones in or on the phone 90% of the time) what ever there distraction is it certainly makes them feel invincible in front of cyclists.

You'd get the damaged you described if you'd knocked it off the stand so I assume you skimmed off a few mph of that 30 before the impact. Have you got stock levers? if you have I've a pair I can send you for £10 unless you meant the foot shifter and not the finger lever, in which case I dont have a shifter.

levelers are fine although the brake leveler been bent since i bought it so i got used to it. Probably need new nose cone or something. I'm less concerned about the bike and more about my NCB as i want to put my other bike on the road at some point.

If I loss my NCB because of this idiot not going to be a happy bunny. life just isn't fair!!!

ironically almost had accident in my car on way home too because driver on the A3 nipped infront of me before the camera and slammed on his brakes and i almost rear ended him. people are just headaches
