Default Petrol station CCTV

How long is a petrol station likely to keep its CCTV footage (It's an esso/tesco one)?
And how would I go about requesting to see it etc?

A week minimum, could be a month.

Go ask to speak to the manager.

Gonna pop down tomorrow and see what they say.
Some moron clipped the corner of my van on Monday afternoon while I was paying for my diesel and I want to see who did it! I thought it was just a broken end cap on my bumper that was broken but he's actually managed to bend the rear bumper as well.

I'm pretty sure it was something like a rav4 or similar sized 4x4

I wouldn't mind as much if it was a standard bumper but its one of the safe-t-bars that cost me over £200 and you can't buy them new anymore

If he's a decent human the manager should go check for you or let you see. But if he's a decent manager don't think you'd be aloud to see as per ICO code of practise, its for the purpose of store security on it you'd see other people and reg numbers etc..
hope you get the fooper.

Just thinking maybe the Police could check it, as the drivers driven off without reporting a non injury RTA.

Just thinking off the top of my head

If they are being obstreperous it might be worth trying the data protection act line, after all they hold on that video your licence plate which is data about you that you should be able to get access to.

Definitely something to be said for the old school pig iron rear bumpers, some silly bint drove into the step of my work LT35 a few years back. It scratched the paint a bit while tin openering both of her offside doors.
That was a petrol station too...

Actually another one crashed into a sprinter luton I had too... right into the bottom corner of the box (which are tough enough to resist inbred retards with fork truck licences for a while at least) also made a right mess. What is it with women, vans and petrol stations anyway?
