Speedo drive broken.

just broke one of the magnets inside the speedo drive , the bit with the wires going to it, and now its not working , can you replace the magnet or do I have to replace the whole thing ? its of a 1999 sv650s curvy , will any do or does it have to be of a 1999 sv curvy thanks

Ive got one that works if you get stuck, one of the 4 tangs is broken but its fine. PM me, it wont be expensive!

You need one off a curvy mate. The later ones are different and make the curvy speedo read twice as much.

It worked when I took it off the bike, return it, if its no good. Leave it with you, maybe others can comment.

Haha yeah. Mines been right round the clock and back up to 0 again haha. Just did that to see if it would when it was in haha. Probably just short of 100 actual mph i guess

If you've still got the lump that broke off, you could glue it back on with hot glue or araldite. Mine's got one of the tags hot glued on at the moment.

no I don't still have it , bit mad in garage chucked it lol never find it now , so just have to try and get a new one ,
