Amp hour rating on batteries? - SV650.org

I just bought a new battery for a project scooter im trying to sell on but ive just seen its 4ah rather than the 6ah one that was already in the scooter. However i know the last owned changed the battery and didnt know alot about the bike so its probable he may have got the wrong battery anyway. But my question is should 4ah be fine??

Its a Kymco super 8 50cc. My dad reckons the guy that sold it to me said at the time that he had put a bigger battery in so i think my suspicions are correct. However the manual states 12v7ah
