Default SV650S K8 - Cat D - fully pimped

PRICE REDUCED TO £2,400

OK - so I'm going to regret this.....I've decided I'm going put my beloved SV up for sale so I can get another bike. I wanted to keep it and get another bike, but can't justify 2 - as the missus pointed out, I can't ride both at once

I've owned the bike from new and details are as follows (bad bits first):-

Registered total loss Category D in Feb/March 2009 after a low speed accident, where someone turned across me from traffic lights in Manchester city centre - thread here. The guy at the insurers (who also happened to be a forum member) said I could choose to have him repair it or write it off with the prospect of buying it back...I chose the latter. Damage was fairings, aftermarket exhaust was dented, levers, indicators and gear change pedal.

Bike has done around 6 track days (Oulton, Mallory, Cadwell and Anglesey x 3), dropped once on track (1st trackday), where the damage was mostly scuffed fairings/R&G bungs and levers. Mike (Flymo) saved the day by giving me a spare lever and I rode it home. Thread here.

It's been blown over by the wind once or twice, damage restricted to the odd broken lense/scuffed bar end.

All in all, no structural damage at all.

43,700 miles on the clock.

FSH upto and including 15k service, after which, I refused to pay big money for oil & filter change - especially after the dealer failed to replace all the plugs, leaving the ones he couldn't be bothered with. Serviced by myself/Yorkie Chris thereafter and also had the odd bit of help from Flymo, replacing the valve stem seals when it started the bad habit of smoking - thread here.

As she stands now, she's well looked after, gets spoiled rotten, but sadly has to make way for something different.

If there's no interest, I'll probably keep her and try and persuade the Doris to let me keep 2 bikes. I would probably get more breaking it, but can't be bothered with the effort involved.

The good bits:-

Owned from new, so I know the full history.

GSXR750 K7 front end (forks, wheel, calipers, discs, m/c)
Front wheel recently powder coated (May) and new bearings
Tapered roller steering head bearings/races fitted May (Koyo)

Oil stem seals replaced 3k miles ago
New front tyre fitted 2-300 miles ago
Rear tyre done around 3k
C&S fitted around 3k ago, (15T front, 47T rear, Tsubaki 525 Sigma O-ring chain)
Just had oil & filter changed
Stebel Nautilus air horn
Custom oil filler plug (original supplied)
Yoshimura top yoke nut (original supplied)
New Brembo pads & fluid front and rear in May.
Valve clearances all within tolerance
Taxed until June 2014

Price reflects the custom parts, as I said, I don't want to break it.

Thanks for looking!

If there's any interest, I'll put some more pics up.

By way of an update - I've decided to look at breaking this now, but will only do so if I can generate enough interest in the majority of the bits to make it worth my while. So if only get interest in the ancillaries, then I wont bother. If you are genuinely interested/serious about buying anything, please let me know and I'll update the original post with names against parts in the order I get them. I think the tipping point for me will be once the front end, frame and engine have gone.

Any questions/clarifications in the thread please and any general comments via pm.

Cheers
