Default What's different about the K3?

Hi guys

Does anybody know the full differences between the K3 pointy and newer models. I have a late registered K3 and am looking for a few aftermarket parts.

Just want to make sure i buy the right parts!

Is my bike Deffo a K3 model?

thanks

Different rear subframe, so riders seat will only fit a K3, different rear hugger, again only a k3 will fit a k3.

K3 was the only one that came with a factory dog. Sorry - couldn't resist....

Radiator was wider too so have to get the right cover if you want one of those.

That's definitely a K3 - note how the lower edge of the rider's seat is roughly level with the top of the side panel. On the later models it's noticeably lower

Found the plug after taking the rear fairings off, you actually get to it from removing the riders seat on my K3!

That's correct. I could only get to the dealer mode socket/plug on my SK3 from under the riders seat. Still difficult to get to as the immobiliser had been fitted by the original dealer after the bike had been sold and had buried the plug under all the other wires and had wrapped the wires tight. This made it difficult getting the "special tool", a bit of wire, inserted.
