Cool Greetings All!!

Hi everyone!

I've just joined the site having recently become the owner of a used, street-fighter styled SV650 K8.
Here's a few pics:

I haven't yet passed my test, took M1 twice earlier this year and failed. But I know it will be third time lucky, so I have bought this to motivate me further!! Plan to get my DAS booked in sometime in late August/early September when the weather had cooled down a bit.

Look forward to getting acquainted with you!

That looks the mutts! Make sure you source yourself a "sympathetic" MOT tester when it's due, looking at that can!

Welcome aboard anyway dude.

Glad you like it!! The exhaust was somewhat loud to say the least, but I was lucky enough to have gotten the exhaust baffle with the bike as well and I've since refitted that. Still f*ckin loud though!!!

At least with the Scorpion can people will be able to hear me coming!!!

Cheers all! I had set my sights on an SV650S, but i'd also had my eye on this one and the price got reduced to £2500 so I called the guy up and went for a viewing. Only 12.5k on the clocks, pretty much all the service history it's had and only 2 previous owners. I fell for it pretty much the moment he started it up, that can......

From what i've seen of prices that these go for, I think I got a good deal?

Have now bought a heavy-duty armoured cable lock and an Oxford Boss Alarmed Disc Lock to keep it safe. Want to get a hugger for it and also a new set of mirrors, as nice as these ones look style-wise despite playing around with them loads all I can see are my elbows!!!

Anyone have any suggestions as to which ones to go for?

I think you can get a set of mirror extenders instead of replacing the whole mirror? Not that they are cheap mind
