Default 2006 GSXR 750-Minor Damage

Welcome to my sale for my 2006 GSXR 750 in a rare black and yellow paint job.

I currently own £3800 in finance on this bike which i pay monthly at £180 a month. For a sale i am looking for £3400 cash so i can settle the loan with my own money(i can provide prove that it is paid off).

I have had a repair quote of £350 to get her back on the road as it is only the back that is damaged but i am financially ruined at the moment so can't afford the repairs.

The bike went down at 40MPH, broke both my legs and then hit a pole with her back end which is where the damage came from otherwise it would of just been some scratches.

Before the accident she was my pride and joy, she has been treated well, serviced regularly and properly and has a few select extras of good quality, i never went cheap.

Powerbronze double bubble screen

Stubby Leavers
Yellow HEL Brake Lines
Leo Vince GP Exhaust

I am happy to sell her either for the cash or the finance swap but i can't afford to keep her. I'd prefer she be ridden but if someone wants to break her you can still make a nice profit selling bits on.

Pics can be found here: http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-m...age/1026550779

Hoping to sell on the Org as it will require the other person to trust me a little to actually pay the loan off, i have been on this forum for quite some time now so people know i am an honest guy.

The best way would be to call the finance company with the buyer, you pay any amount agreed in the sale (if the agreed sale price is less than owed), then the buyer pays the rest directly to the finance company. The buyer can then confirm the finance company will not come knocking. Not saying you are not trustworthy, its just the safest way.

GLWS.

Have the frame and forks been checked for straightness?

I feel bad for you here buddy but MINOR damage? Seriously? I suspect you will get offended/saddened by the type of offers you will get for that bike.

What does the repair quote of £350 cover?

Absolutely gutted for you buddy but that bike has some dodgy Karma going on. Whilst the value is good I'd be looking to add the cost of an exorcist first.

Minor?
Oh my, whats major?
New clipons, wheel, rear subframe and plastics inc mirrors and then the chances that the forks could be bent...

That all adds up to more than you have said.. Sorry mate

No offense and with the accident the last thing you need is this hassle but to get that repaired to a decent standard will cost more than getting a mint low mileage one!
Major lesson I can take from this is that if I have to finance a bike but cannot afford fully comp insurance then I will not be buying it!

Forks are straight, and scouring EBay and buying second hand it doesn't come to more than that.

You mean all the straight bits left on the bike don't come to more than £3400?

Seriously, if you think you can get that fixed for £350 then do it. There is no chance it could be repaired to a decent standard for that amount. It might just about be possible to get it back on the road but it will still look like its been down the road at 40mph.

From what I can see undamaged examples of the same age go for between £4000-4500. You are selling a bike which will have been an undeclared Cat C write-off. The frame clearly hasn't been stripped, jigged, and checked for straightness and, at best, the forks have been checked against a straight edge.

You'd have the patience of a saint to wait for the right bits to come up at the right price, do most of the work yourself and be willing to completely ignore the cosmetic damage to the bike to get this for less than a dozen other low mileage examples of the type on Autotrader.
