Default Near Head On Collision

Some **** in a large 4x4 decided to try and skip the queue of traffic by flooring it down the oncoming lane which is the exit for a 2 lane roundabout.

If your coming off the roundabout onto this road you cannot see up the road until you go around the corner as your line of sight is blocked.

It's scary to think that some people are soo impatient that all common sense goes out the window.

Yeah. Sandy lane is the other side of the roundabout.

Can't wait to get back on the bike. Fitted new front discs, now just waiting on my new to me calipers to arrive.

Nope. The front discs were slightly warped so I bought some new ones and swapped them over. After swapping them over found my front calipers had seized for the second time in 2 months so I also decided to buy some different calipers which I am just waiting on now. (Nissin 4 pots - popular upgrade for the ZX9) Got them for £60 but they've been sat a few years so a good strip, clean and rebuild is needed and new pads but I will be selling my current calipers once I've rebuilt them back to working order.

Apart from some rough running which I still need to iron out it's actually been very reliable and a lot of fun.

Once I have front brakes again I wouldn't mind going for a ride somewhere if anyone is interested. As always it's going to be a calm ride out and grab a bite to eat. I'll post up in the local section as well.

Not sure if I've shown this before.

Same stretch of road. Seems to be very common unfortunately.

Not sure what is worse, their driving or your reaction to it..... There are some right muppets out there, just chill out a bit!

Getting upset over something like that only goes to show how poor your own anticipation is. Think about it, they've been sat in a long traffic queue, they are quite possibly frustrated and thinking about a million other things than their driving, an opportunity opens up for them, they aren't necessarily going to remember their driving lesson (if indeed they ever had one) before acting. People are after all human and we all make mistakes. In the first example it was indeed pretty poor and aggressive driving but it didn't exactly endanger or involve the OP did it, the second one was a classic example of what we all know happens when filtering. The OP wasn't going particularly fast so no issues there, but his reaction afterwards was completely over the top, it's what gives bike riders a bad name.

ps: and I'm not trying to defend the car drivers.....like I said, complete muppets!
