Grab rail paint destroyed by salt! - SV650.org

The winter has made the paint on my grab rail peel off in large chunks. Has anyone got an economical solution to paying £45 for the numerous cans of primer, base, colour, laquer, etc. that I presume it will need. It's pretty bad now and I'd like to do something before the next salt assault takes place. Any ideas gratefully accepted!

wrap it with some stickers?

Thanks Nikon, done that with the rest of the digs, dinks and scratches on the bike. Risk looking like a wannabee TT rider, er, which I am definitely not! Thanks for suggestion, may have to lash out on paint (if that's still legal?).

There must be some rubberised paint that would do the job.
