Well at least that's what I think it is. I have lower fairings (Black, L1, 2011) which I've removed and thinking of selling along with the fitting kit. Only problem is I don't have the original engine bolt(s) to replace the engine bolts in the fitting kit . I think anyone who has fitted OEM lowers themselves would have needed to remove these bolts.

Ebay would be a good place for these things as Breakers do sell them off cheap when they strip the bike into parts

Yeah cheers quik_d, I've been keeping a look out on the bay as well. Seems that if you install lowers, the front crankcase bolts need to be removed so part of the fitting kit can be installed.
And with lots of fairing being snapped up on here, I would assume there would be quite a few of these unwanted bolts lying around. Only with OEM lowers mind you, i'm not sure if Chinese lowers use a different type of fitting kit. |
