Default Honda VFR750F 1987?

Looking for a cheap temporary bike to replace the SV just to get me through the rough weather, found a nice looking Honda VFR750F from a garage with an mot that runs out late next year for just over £1000

Being 19 I wasn't even remotely alive when this bike was made so have no idea as to what reputation they had (if any)

Anyone know anything about these bikes or even had one? Please feel free to shed some light on this

One of the most reliable solid bikes of its era.Check for rotted out exhaust and bear in mind the usual age related stuff for a 26 year old bike.

Absolutely bulletproof. I'm running it's predecessor, the VF750F. Hard to go wrong with them, as said, exhausts can rot, and if you're keeping it a stainless system means you'll probably keep and ride it forever.

Great noise too. Nothing like a V4

I had the model after, like has already been said check for a rotten exhaust just in front of the centre stand. The other thing is make sure the brakes are in top condition as they are only "adequate" when working properly. Mechanically these are almost bulletproof.
