Default How not to ride

Skip to 01:36 for the crash, all parties do about 10 things wrong each in the space of 5 seconds

Caution, some rather offensive language, most of it is in Geordie though

The guy filming is a bit irritating to be honest. 2.04 is pure comedy gold.

Makes sense.

The kid was rather led into that by both the bikes in my view. If the video bike was also indicating right on the roundabout (and no reason to think not if he was following his mate) then the nearside move wasn't that unreasonable, and it wasn't exactly close was it. The ped rider is then clearly looking over his right should as he is now aware the bike hasn't gone where he was expecting it to and simply doesn't see the other bike brake and turn. Looking at it from a bike riders point of view I'd stack a whole lot more blame on the bike riders rather than the lad on the ped. Hopefully he'll grow up to be a bit wiser than the other two, which lets face it, won't be hard.

As RH said, ped rider only hits biker because after expecting the biker he undertakes to be turning right, and to hear him charging after him, he checks his right shoulder, and then doesn't spot the other bike turning.

Personally would say it's one of those accidents when nobody is clearly to blame, but I'd put most of the blame on Mr "Didn't cancel indicator", and Mr "How dare this ped undertake me! I must race him!".

He may have been a muppet (actually I think there were 3) but it's a bit harsh to label him as one of Jimmy Saville's cohorts.
