Default JB Weld experiences?

Hey orgers, i have a slight crack in my engine case on the right hand side from the speed sign incident. I can't afford to buy a new cover for now so have applied some KB Weld over the hole and will let it cure for 24 hours.

In anyone's experience how long can i expect it to last on there with it running at the temps that it does?

Why not find someone who can Ally weld and get it tigged up? For a crack of the size you are describing, it should not cost that much. Otherwise see how long the epoxy lasts and then redo it when it starts leaking again.

One thing to bare in mind is preparation. The better the prep before glueing the longer it lasts. If you did it on a clean dry well keyed surface it could last years, if it was done quick after a wipe with a snot rag, then maybe a few weeks.

Good luck and try not to stick the bike in the hedge this time!

if it's external it's not to bad and should last a good while as long as the area has been well prepped.
