Default Probably a super scooter as second ride

Ok....I have my S1k as my daily and now a new job may double the journey (40miles each way). I now want an easy ride as I found the sv too tiring before on long commutes.

I've never had a scooter, so looking for advice.

I'm looking at a 400 (mostly for cost) but not sure if it's big enough for motorways and dual carriageway. I'm happy to bimble at 70 and then filter.

Any ideas, recommendations, experiences, Make, model, size etc.?

Cheers. Neil

If you're not too tight on budget look for a Yamaha T Max 500, they are excellent. If you've less money then perhaps the Suzuki Burgman 400.
They're both good bikes, but their emphasis is different, the Yam is sportier, has better suspension and handling, the Suzuki is cheaper, comfier, has more underseat space, (it's vast), and better weather protection.
The older Yamaha Majesty 400 is pretty good and typically undervalued, and try and get a ride on a Honda NC700 Integra - very swish, or maybe the two new BMW scoots - if you've got deep pockets.

How much do you want to spend?

I would hope to get something around £2300-2600. If I can put on the credit card, 0%, then I'll be happy.

Think I'll need to find some place to ride a couple. Someone suggested Kymco as the new Yam is a rebranded version.

Wind protection is probably my number one want, storage is great but happy to add rack and box.

There's any number of late 400 Burgmans for that money.
