SV650s K8 - Engine needed.

Hi Guys,

After some problems with my oil, and a sudden problem with my bike. I now have a severe knocking noise coming from the engine. I've been told this could be the big end shells on the rear cylinder causing the problem, and although a rebuild is viable. I've been told that I would probably be better off getting the engine replaced completely. With Labour only costing me £50, this seems to be the better option.

Just wondering if anyone is selling or knows the best place to buy a SV650s K8 Engine?

I am also looking if someone would part exchange my engine with the hopes to repair and refurbish it? / What do people believe I could sell my engine for in its current state? Even if i make some money back on my new engine purchase it'll be less of an impact on a poor uni students budget. haha!

if you've had oil problems and knocked the big ends out,then the engine aint worth much more then scrap,the only thing that are likely to be undamaged and worth selling are the outer casings and the clutch,and no the engine cant be reconditioned,unless you buy new parts,eg crank rods shells etc and any other parts effected by lack of oil like bores pistons and cams!!
