Default Indicator not flashing, staying on

I had an off on Monday and lost two indicators.

After putting the bike back together, I noticed that the indicator wasn't flashing anymore, rather the lights were just staying on.

I've now replaced the indicators that snapped off; however the lights are still not flashing.

Anything I should be looking for?

Thanks in advance.

Check the bulbs are actually working - check for good grounds.

If a bulb isn't work it will mean the indicator relay won't work - sometime this results in bulbs flashing double time or just staying on. I had this on an old bike I was restoring and ended up just being a bad ground to a bulb.

HTH

Edit - If all bulbs are working then i'd suspect the relay itself.

relays are fairly robust things so i doubt that it has jammed on. what i suspect you have done is connected a constant live from elsewhere rather than the indicator live.

Default Indicator not flashing, staying on

Thanks for the replies guys.

I didn't have to mess with any wiring after the accident.
The main physical damage I could see was to the fairing, rear brake lever and exhaust and exhaust bracket............all on the right side.
So by saying "After putting the bike back together", I was referring mainly to the the exhaust bracket and the exhaust which came off.

After we got back on the road, my mate noticed my indys weren't flashing and I also confirmed on the dash after he brought it to my attention........the lights were just staying on rather than flashing.

I was hoping the issue would clear after replacing the broken indys over the weekend; however that isn't the case.

Could anything have messed up within the bike's wiring on impact?
Is there anything obvious I can look out for?

Thanks!

Are both replaced indicators lighting up, or is just one?

All indicators are lighting up and just staying on.
If I indicate right, the right front & rear indys come on and don't flash; and the left ones do the same thing when I indicate left.

Prior to installing the new indicators, the indys that survived the off were also lighting up and staying on instead of flashing.

Then, assuming there is no bad earth somewhere, this has to be a relay issue. Know anyone local who can do a swap, to test? I've spares of these but i'm some distance away as you can appreciate!

As you've changed no wiring, and if everything lights up as it should but does not flash, then the only possible cause is the flasher unit. All wires are clearly connected and functional or the relevant indicator would not light.
