Default Air compressor fitting identity help

Hi,

My compressor and tools all use fittings like this, with a male connection as shown on one end of the air hose and on the various tools. The other end of the hose has the equivalent female coupling, which has now fallen to pieces. Could anyone confirm the ID of this type of fitting? The bore is just about 7mm, the outside diameter of the narrow part is just under 10mm. Looking at pictures it appears to be PCL "ZF". Does that sound correct?

Also, any suggestions for suppliers at reasonable prices? Ideally I'd like to fit a replacement coupling on the existing hose, but I also wouldn't mind getting a replacement hose with a larger bore.
Thanks, Tony S

Look up a proper air compressor/fittings company nearby (I used Airquick for me locally). They know what is what and will sell you stuff that is appropriate and fits because it's their day job. (Airquick even made me up some hoses and fittings when I wanted some rather than just sell me bits).

There are mainly two types (if the likes of compressor at home). If you been to the cheapie stores it'll be a Euro fitting as opposed to imperial (real standard). You can use either, change them (conversion) or mix n match but I'd stick to one or the other if me. Tools use one or the other (depends on origin) but I'm sure I've successfully convert one of mine - now if I could only remember which way ...

Cheers, I've found some of the original info about my gear, and it looks like it is "Euro" fittings rather that PCL. I've emailed the original supplier, ideally I'd like to get a larger diameter hose since the bore of the fittings is 7mm but the existing hose only 5mm.
