I sold my CBR600RR year before last and still regret it. I love the Multistrada but that Honda is unbelievably versatile and faultless.
I'm a bit sick of looking at the new bikes section of visordown and seeing nothing but 300cc cruisers, commuter bikes and £20k+ hyperbikes. Have manufacturers given up on middleweight sports bikes? The new CBR is great but design is half arsed and they've not even offered new colours every year like they used to, same can be said for the '11> GSXR and the R6 hasn't changed for donkeys. It only seems to be Triumph (new daytona) and Ducati (899 pani) making an effort, the jap lot are really napping! |

I'm with you on this. Why can't they get the VFR800 and drop 30kg and make it awesome? Maybe the new licensing laws will help as it'll be a big deal to get up to unlimited.

The zx6r has a good feel and your find some great deals on at the moment. My vote obviously goes with the Daytona... Best in the class and British

But the Daytona has poor tank range and is a relatively hard ride. Fine if you're looking for a toy but not if you rack up the miles like I do.
Kawasaki's have never done it for me. I'm not looking for a new middleweight, just saying they've really gone off the boil in recent years after being such an intensely fought class for years |

Got to think that it's a sad fact, but younger people are not joining the motorcycling ranks.
So manufacturers are targeting the reduced numbers of older riders with bigger faster bikes that they can't use on public highways. But they can insure them affordablely. My Daytona is the fastest real world B road motorcycle I have ever owned. Depending on what you think the acceptable range is. The 2013 tank range is 150 miles although when I did TEC on the AR 14 mine got 185! Yes its a stiff ride on normal settings. But it's adjustable and the 320 mile ride to AR 14 was completed fine. And I have OA of the right Knee! No problem with vibration. It's a very easy bike to ride briskly. ![]() The only reason I got the tiger is because I can't bend my knee to the pegs comfortable with the leg brace.
