Default Jets

Hey all I'm have just managed to get a full titanium exhaust system for my k2, as I no longer use the bike to commute I'm going to get rid of the air box lid and fit some cone filter's ( I did this to my rsv with some good results) now I'm guessing it will need re-jetting.
What do you guys recommended as a good starting point and where is best to get the jets from.
Thanks
Gaz

A good starting point is the idle mixture. After your mods are complete, warm it up to operating temp, then shut it off and check the plug color. Adjust as necessary.
When you get the idle mixture right, mark the twist grip so you can hold it at 1/2 throttle, then warm up the engine and ride. Do a brief (few seconds is plenty) run at 1/2 throttle and simultaneously pull the clutch and hit the kill switch. Now check plug color again. Shim the needles up if necessary and repeat until the mid-range plug color is good. Now do a short WOT run, pull the clutch as you hit the kill switch, and check the plug color. Change main jets if necessary and repeat until the WOT plug color is good.
Or, you could just guess, which is far easier.

Wideguy, Have you found this method of reading plugs to be more obscure as of late with the addition of all the ethanol in the gas? I know it used to be spot on but I had a good mechanic friend tell me it's getting harder to read plugs. Not sure I believe him.

I've not noticed a difference with 10% ethanol. I've heard 100% ethanol is very hard/impossible to read on the plugs.
