Hi All,
Just after some advice on the above title. I need a part too but will post that in the needed section. I decided to give my dirty baby a wash today ![]() ![]() Unfortunately in my anger and haste to stop the fizzle and dry out the connections, I pulled out the wires without looking where they were. After random googling I found a pic of someones with 3 wires and put them in the same place (allot of others I saw had 4, but I only have red, black white, yellow and green). This seems to have worked and all the lights are now on and the bike starts. I just would like someone else to confirm that this is correct, and that I wont go BOOM as im riding along. This is the one I have copied, even tho the fuse is in a different place: ![]() Ill make a post elsewhere to see if anyone has a connector. Thanks All ![]() |

If everything is working, including the starter, then you have it wired correctly. When you wire things up incorrectly, fuses melt. Sometimes things just don't work that should.
But if everything works, good job. Breakers have parts like that. |

Just thought id give abit of a update and solution on this as I found tracking down a replacement connector (after asking a few breakers simply for the cable) a total pain as no one knew what it was called.
I found a good online store based in the UK for connectors from harnes's and other automotive connectors. The people that replied to my emails were very helpfull too, just incase anyone has issues getting connectors. The site is: http://kojaycat.co.uk/ Automotive and Marine Cables Anyway, the connector for the starter relay from the best info I could find a "Furukawa RFW 090 4 Pin Female". After hunting high and low, I found this on kojaycat : Harness Connector for Starter Relay Although this was correct in most ways the relay has one fin that needs to be cut off (it must be a way to make them slightly unique). It cut off with a Jr Hacksaw and then a stanley knife to just shave it down a little. Below shows what needs removed: ![]() Also to some this may seem obvious, however took me a little to get my head around and looking at the wiring diagram to work out, so I thought Id draw up a idiots guide to this, that may help others work it out. ![]() I did find that the connectors in the block didnt reach the bottom and make clear connections straight away (this could have been my crimping, and actually probably was). I had to really push the metal pins into the block and also not use the yellow locking block in the front (I wasnt sure how this worked anyway). Once everything was working and powered, I simply hot gluded the ends of the cables to the block just to give abit more protection to stop them coming out, however if you crimp it better than me, you probably wont have this issue. ![]() I hope this helps someone out there!
