Shorty exhaust
evening all,
i have a shorty fuel exhaust on my point sv, it doesn't feel too quick on accelaration, is a shorty a wrong exhaust? a mate of mine rode it and said that it feels sluggish too but we weren't sure if he was comparing it to his zx9r. he had a 2002 curvy carb any advice would be great thanks!!! |

its the v-Twin. they dont feel fast as they dont sound fast but if you look down at the speedo you might get a surprise. dont even try to compare a V-Twin with an in line 4.

I had a short delkevic on my pointy, was a 225mm carbon fibre jobby but i thought the same as op, my sv seemed to lack the usual accleration and just out of interested i remounted the stock exhaust and what do you know.....she seemed back to her best so ive left the stock one on there. Was definitey not acclerating as quick with the delkevic on it. I noticed the difference to such an extent that i now dont feel the need to get a quicker bike with the delkevic on i found myself wanting more power from the bike but not anymore.
