Default VIN Plates

Excuse the Newbie Question. I am trying to find paint codes, and VIN plates for my '11 Gladius. I found this plate, is it the VIN or will it be on the Headstock.

By the way I think the paint is Mirage White with Ruby Magenta. does anyone know off-hand the paint numbers for these colours. I have a number of parts I need to re-spray.

Thanks in Advance (Newbie-Numpty)

Should be in your service book or take a look under the tank you may find it there.

That number you've taken a picture of is the VIN, if it's the same as my SVS it'll also be stamped on the head stock.

there is no code on the vin for paint. sometimes there is a sticker under the tank but its usually in the handbook. easy way to find out is phone suzuki customer services or your local suzuki dealer with your reg number and they will tell you.

Suzuki Dealer, He say. ignore paint codes and take it to a paint factor and get them to use a spectrometer to find out the correct paint shade. Apparently with Sooki's being built in at least three different production lines around the world even the same paint codes come out differently.

good tip.

the reason i said phone suzuki uk was that they will have your bike on their database with your reg number and they will give you the colour and code of your bike. suzuki only use 3 digit codes for their paint. and yes you are right suzuki parts are made all over the world and assembled in different factories so if you have a painted panel chances are that the tank was painted somewhere else. unless you get the exact same batch that the panel/tank etc.etc was sprayed with then you are NEVER going to get an exact match for blending in even using a paint spectrometer and even if they do match the colour there will always be a difference be it slight. most bodyshop supply companies dont do bike paints as they dont have the code books. you need to use a supply company that specialises in bike paints and once you have the codes they will be able to mix paint up no problem.

i was trying to help.

good luck.
