Just seen news that David Bowie has passed away aged 69 after an 18 month battle with cancer.

It's a sad day.
Definitely a innovator and mould breaker.
"We're nothing, and nothing will help us
Maybe we're lying, then you better not stay
But we could be safer, just for one day"".

David Bowie - Heroes Lyrics

Just seen this on a news page. A shock, someone who has been there musically, right through most of my life.

David Bowie. Lazarus. Final single release.

A sad day, it was a Bowie single that i bought as my first ever purchase. My sister refused to buy me Aladin Sane, how things might have been different if she had.

My eldest daughter liked him, so he spanned many generations and we went to the Bowie exhibition in London, which was a great day out.

RIP you were a one off and we'll never see such a talent of your kind in our life time

Listened to loads of the great mans albums all day in work today via Spotify on the headphones.
Come home to find my wife blasting it out in the kitchen on the wireless speakers, with our 9 & 11 year old complaining it was too loud

RIP you true legend

Hearing Brian Eno talk about their friendship and the last email was both sad and uplifting.

Bowie blurred the lines between music, art, acting and performance.

So many bands owe him a debt for paving the way for them.

I wonder if in 50 year's time people will be taking about Harry Styles or Justin Bieber in the same way? I doubt it somehow.

I know. Same here. Great actor and will be missed. He was great in Robin Hood.
