I bought a set of Nonfango boxes off Ebay for the bargain price of £50 & thought that it would be a quick fix with the top box fitting it to a Givi rack that I purchased for £30. I was very wrong, Givi & Nonfango are completely different fittings
![]() I was trying to work out how to fit the box when a brand new, ex display Nonfango baseplate appeared on Ebay £20... Bargain! I realised that the Givi top box rack had no fittings, so hunted around the net to see how they are fitted. They use a special kit that attaches to the back of the subframe. Off to my local Givi stockist & ordered it £25 lighter. When it arrived, it was just a few bolts & washers & diddn't have the most important part with it, so had to make my own. ![]() ![]() I then came up witht the idea of using hex head bolts & long nuts to make the brackets to attach the pannier frames(£20, Ebay) to. This is where I'm up to at the moment. I need to make some brackets to drop the rails down a bit & then make the upper bracket to attach where the grab rail was to the top of th pannier rail. I'll put some more pics up when I've sorted it. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Done....Well, nearly. Mocked up 2 brackets from the grab rail this morning. I've ordered some 3mm Stainless flat bar to make them properly. They look quite nice, even if I say so myself. Pity they won't get used for any distance riding as my missus has decided she doesn't want to go pillion anymore

No, the missus has thrown her dummy because I've sold the Triumph, she's using it as an excuse not to go on the SV. I suppose it's too old & small for her, it doesn't have the presence of the Sprint

Here you go Geo. some close ups of the brackets etc.
3mm x 25mm Stainless steel, hit witha hammer to bend in the right places ![]() ![]() 4mm Steel bar that I had lying around my shed. 9mm holes drilled. ![]() 40mm x 8mm Long nuts used as spacers. ![]() Stainless mounted where the grab rail normally lives. ![]() Frame Fitted. It can be angled with the steel bar, so that the pannier doesn't hit the exhaust. ![]() Rear view. Not too shabby even though I say so myself. They will more than likely be coming straight off, so, if anybody wants them, they could well be up for sale. ![]()

Very good Col. If you sell the Sv, I'd be interested in buying the panniers off you.
But I hope you get a lot of use out of them first!

Cheers Mav, but I can't see it happening as I've said in a previous post, she who must be obeyed won't go on the back. It's killing me to be honest. I've gone from 12 - 14000 miles a year to about 2
