I always loved the taxi driver's line from 'Desperately Seeking Susan': "You know that sushi? It's not bad. I got some the other day, took it home, cooked it ... tasted like FISH."

Apparently the number of admissions for common colds, bronchitis, norovirus and gastric illnesses have fallen off a cliff over the past 6 months because of people washing their hands more.

I guess that >60% alcohol sanitizing gel has become the new 'must have' accessory for most people....

If nothing else the covid-19 situation has made people more aware of how easily pathogens can spread, and what they can do to prevent it.

Years ago they found that doctors pens were a big source of spreading infections in hospitals and since then every patients chart on end of bed was supposed to get its own pen...
