JASO MB – This lower standard was for bikes that use separate oils for the engine, clutch and gearbox (e.g Harley Davidson’s and BMW’s). JASO-MA2 – This specification was introduced in 2006 for modern motorcycle engines. As well as being a higher standard of oil the JASO-MA2 approval means the oil is suitable for use in bikes with catalytic converts in the exhaust system. ... so any of the oils in your list

Can't speak for the other 2 oils but I've been using the Smith and Allen for the past 6 or 7 years in my SV and my Yamaha. Good price. Change oil and filter yearly; no problems.

I've used Shell Advance Ultra full synth in both my SVs as it's always been very competitively priced in the 4 litre bottles, only a couple of quid more expensive than a semi-synth.
The price has gone up a bit to £27.50 recently but at less than £7 per litre it's still very good value and cheaper than high-end equivalents from Motul / Silkolene / Putoline etc. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/323350674...kAAOSwdtxf8zcE |

if i were to go with one of those 3 it would be Westways, followed by S&M dont know about Aztec..
halfords semi or fully synth. i used to use Millers and that was good as well. using Motul at the moment and i dont rate it as bike feels rough and weirdly it stays a red colour even after 2k miles so cant be cleaning all that well. dont think halfords do 10w40 bike oil any more Last edited by Bibio; 17-07-21 at 04:24 PM. |

I've gone for the Aztec as the shop selling it is only in Shrewsbury, about 30 miles from here. Spec looks to be up to scratch.

Smith&Allen here as well. Semi-Synthetic 10w40 for me old 99. Engine and gearbox seem to like it. Also nice that it's a full gallon/5 liters for the price so two oil changes for one bottle/container
