Hi all, just recently I have noticed that I am losing pressure on my front tyre. It's set for 33psi and I checked it after having the bike sat for a while and it was down to around 27psi. I've had the bike into the local Suzuki dealee and they have replaced the valve stem as well as inspected the tyre and the rim. Both came back fine, but I still have a slow pressure loss. Any thought on what I should check? Obviously I'm checking the tyre pressures before each ride now but it never used to do this.

Can you get the wheel out and put it a bit at a time into a deep container of water? That may show you where the leak is.

As Gary said. You might have a bit of corrosion on the rim, so you could even try some soapy water brushed on that area.

I've had a nail puncture where the nail remained in the hole, causing a slow leak.

Thanks for the suggestions but I'm pretty sure the workshop covered all of that. Might have to speak to them again as I set the pressure on Friday and it's dropped 5 psi over the weekend

Reckon its likely to be corrosion on the rim. You could try letting the tyre down then reinflating harder than normal, leave it a few days and if its held pressure restore it ton its optimum setting. On the old car I used to let the tyre down, broke the bead seal and went around the rim with gutter sealant which worked well. Not that I would do that on a bike.

I once had a tyre (Continental) which persistently lost pressure gradually, two or three psi a week, despite checking all the usual things, bead, valve, nails/thorns etc.
I eventually came to the conclusion that it was the tyre carcass which was porous. A new tyre fixed the problem.
