Default Is removing your catalyser selfish?

Moving on from whether loud cans are selfish...

Now that bikes are covered by pollution legislation (Euro 1 now and Euro 2 to come I think..) is it selfish of us to not minimise harmful emissions? Many SV'ers junk the catalyser to fit a fruity can...

K1's, K2's K3's were generally sold before this legislation came into force so this is a question that will become a lot more pressing in the future...

Being more of a devils advocate than a killjoy but ...

I don't really give a rats ass... 'so to speak'

There are 4.6 litre Range Rovers on the road which pump out more emissions in a day than my bike pumps out in a week...

It would be more selfish if it wasn't for the buses and lorries that blow **** out everywhere.My bike makes a small amount of crap compared to those

I think that yes it is selfish, but then I recycle all my beers bottles and don't throw away my old oil to bring it into balance

of course its selfish - but how selfish - tiny tiny little bit I would guess. How much bike emissions really damage the enviroment when compared to industrial waste (especially from less regulated countries) is negligable anyway.

Now, it's not the emissions but the noise that........JOKING
