I've not done this, but I've read those who have... There's a guy on SVrider.com's forum called TWF that makes a bearing that you can fit to allow a GSXR front end to bolt to the SV's steering stem. Otherwise, you need to machine or braize one of your parts as the bearings are different.

Nortwind is right about the TWF in the US. The other way is to press out the SV Stem and press it into the GSXR bottom yoke. For the GSXR top yoke you need to make spacer to fit inside the hole where the stem goes through as the SV stem is a smaller diameter than the GSXR stem. Doing it that way means you can get the bearings straight off the shelf if you ever need to change them. I think it cost me about £50 to get done.

What year GSXR are you looking at using. I'll try and sort some photos out for you (don't hold your breath though ).

Cheers
Ben

I have a GSXR750 SRAD front end on my K1 SV.

The SV stem had to be built up with weld, and then machined back to the correct taper for the GSXR bottom yoke.

SV head bearings are used top and bottom.
