I was hoping to be done by now but work's been busy lately... I took last Thursday and Friday off (I deserved it

) and here's the latest.

With the custom subframe I need to re-locate most stuff that was mounted to the old one. So far I've figured out the hard stuff (rear brake reservoir and gas tank mount), the electrical stuff should be simple. To help combat the infamous rectifier/regulator over-heating problem I found that an ignition module heat-sink off an early 90's Buick Roadmaster (probably Caprice too) is an easy fit to mount onto the back of the rectifier, I'm also hoping to find an area with air flow to mount it (I forgot the pic). I also put on a "S" upper triple with clip-ons and cut down & flipped the headlight brackets then made some aluminum diamond plate adapters to fit an Acerbis Blitz carbon fiber headlight setup. For front turn signals I'm using the stock rear ones. I also tore the cover/padding out of the seat to prepare it for sandblasting, paint & covering and I painted the exhaust can high-heat black. The tail is NOT going to stay that way and still needs to be painted, it will be black.

I have Racetech front springs (.85) and pre-load caps, emulators and 636 shock have been ordered. Total investment thus far = $2800 with probably another $200-300 to finish it up. That does not include the tools I bought for this project like my shiny new scrolling jig saw which I'll be using for all my aluminum in the future.

Hmm, I think even my girlfriend could touch the ground with that amount of padding on the seat! Keep up the good work.

Hey, different. With the amount of fork you appear to have above the top yoke, be careful you don't get the fork sliders hitting the lower clamp.

The forks are in the clamps but they're not staying like that (they'll be coming back out when my emulators show up). When I actually have it road/track ready they'll only be poking 5mm out the top triple.

I'm suprised someone caught that
