Didn't like 'em!

Good in the dry (but what isn't), just not confidence inspiring (for me anyway) in the wet.

Got BT020's now and I think they are better.

See the TYRE forum for other options.

The Azaro 3's are good tyres and I like them alot, however I'd go for the 45/46 rather than the 49/50's just on ware alone, you can't feel a great difference between them on the SV.

Being fair, I'd have to say unless you are an Avon fan you may find they give a little too much feed back, so could feel a bit "nervous" in corners.

If you're looking for confidence inspiring tyres then try either Roadtec Z6's or the Conti Road attacks.

look in the review section for further details.

Cheers Mark.

And they're the dogs... If you really want a sticky tyre for purely confidence reasons, I can understand that too though- personally I found that Metz Sportecs are less good day to day than Roadtecs on the SV but they are sticky like glue. Plus nice and predictable from the round profile- not everyone rates that but I love it myself.

so to sum up,
the av49/50's are very good but the 45/46's are better cause you get better milage, but they do flex at normal pressure which can be misinterpretted as unstable!

But the roadtech z6's are better than the av45/46's cause they last longer and dont flex? however they do grip aswell as the 49/50,s?/

Am i correct,

So if i can afford the z6s go for them, if not the av45/46 combination?

Am i right in this thinking?/

Cheers

i got apair of Conti Road Attacks fitted this morning for £150 (+ an extra £20 if not on loose wheels) only done 25miles on them in the wet so far, so not scrubbed in by a long shot. But im already finding them much better than my previous tyres ( avon av36/35's )! no where near as slippy in the wet under rear braking and, able to really stick the front brake on hard and not loose traction! seem to tip in a little quicker too which is a bit strange at first, but really stable! would recomend these to anyone. just cant wait to scrub em in and get out there on some nice dry twisties
