Default A few easy jobs for a Sunday .....

With the weather reasonably nice today decided to sort out the few odd things I'd been accumulating ready to fit - fenda extenda, bar ends, screen trim, replacement clutch lever (end snapped off previous one, which apparently is an MOT failure).

All nice and easy jobs that should be quickly rattled off ..... or so I thought.

First off the fenda extenda and the screen trim - no problems at all, confidence is up (need to say I'm proud to consider myself a DIY disaster!).

Then the bar ends - two minute job, methinks. Until that is I somehow manage to remove the nut thing at the inner far end of the grip that the screw is supposed to fix into. Hmmm. Anyone know if there's an easy way to get this back in (presumably by getting access to the far end of the grip?).

Then the clutch lever. ten minute job, methinks. Until the damn thing fails to fit. Had a cheapie Pattern one (£8 instead of nearly £20 for Suzuki's) and it blatantly was not going to fit - stupid, cheap alternatives Didn't stop me trying to get it to fit for about half an hour though.

So , hugger still to go (probably next weekend), and have decided will get the dealer to slap an end can on when it's in for a service in a couple of weeks - with my luck, I'll probably come close to sawing the bike in half just cutting through the pipe!!!

It wasn't massively out, just wouldn't seem to fit round/over the little 'post' or whatever it is in the inner casement (or whatver the thing you actually put the clutch into is called), so about couple of mm off all round. I tried to get it to fit various ways, even tried squeezing the casement open a little. Checked with original and that just slid straight in - concluded that it was poor quality control on the cheapie make.

But happy to try suggestions.
