Is it possible? Can I fit a top box to my 02 SV650S and carry a passenger at the same time?? Or is this just a piece of wishful thinking?? If it is possible.......any ideas on where I can get one and how much they cost?? I have all the soft luggage, but I was thinking of the top box as a good backrest for my lover as well as being practical too! Let me know if you can help.
Cheers Chris |

Yup.
Yup. Nope. Givi or fandango are pretty good brands and are available from M&P or Infinity or alot of other places. Somewhere between £100 and £300 depending on size and number of boxes. Even though they sell backrest cushions for topboxes, I wouldn't recommend actually using it as one. They have a supposed weight limit of about 10kg. |

Btw, the only reason I didn't go for fandango is because the information on fitting to the new shape wasn't very good. The old shape information seems ok and if it was me, I would take a serious look at their racks. |

I fitted a Givi mono rack and topbox, way back in 1999 when I first got my SV. I did a write up, it's in the HOWTO section. The back rest for the pillion is more along the lines of padding to stop her hurting her back on the top box, rather than something that she can go to sleep against.
