Default SEMI-URGENT Removing a disk lock

Hiya guys,

It appears i've either lost or left my house keys at work. My disk lock key is on them. Incidentally i cant find my spares which is causing me a right nightmare. It's only semiurgent because i can work from home.

So in the event i cant find them, how do i get it off? I'm going to try the "soft" pen thing that works on Oxford locks but are there any other alternatives? Buddy bike thieves speak up!

The pen trick really works, its not myth. I used a Berol fineline on mine.

If that fails and you'r a member of a breakdown scheme, give them a call or get a locksmith out.

Would Carole Nash's one do it? Breakdown recovery, home start etc?

Doesnt matter, they were at work and one of my colleagues is dropping them home.

Ohhh.... that bad... It sounds to me like you should upgrade to full brembo with wavey rotors... That is the only way to sort that properly.

(Hey, I am just trying to help you justify the new parts... )

If it's on your front wheel, take off the front wheel, take off the brake disc, and take it to a proper locksmith and they'll get it off for you. (a mate of mine took his into the local fire station and got them to chop it off with the hydraulic cutters) Or you could probably grind it off if you've got a half-decent grinder.
