New Pants Please
I got cut up on a roundabout last night by a nice old lady who didnt see me.
I sat behind her I until I thought I had regained my composure, a small opportunity to overtake presented itself on the exit to the next roundabout. I did the usual mirror check, lifesaver, gave the throttle a twist, next thing I am being pinged out of the seat, along with a nice big tank slapper and the back of the bike is trying to come sideways as the back wheel spins up. Did I notice the massive patch of gravel in the middle of the road.. No I didnt. I had enough presence of mind not to shut the throttle and I just let it spin up and then gradually closed the throttle untiil the back tyre began to grip again notes to self 1. Its not always safe to overtake when you tihnk it is 2. if you are going to cross the line check for gravel in the middle of the road 3. Better to arrive home in one piece then land in a big heap on the floor I've been riding two years and i ride everyday. Just shows you how you dont think straight when you are cross and full of adrenalin.. Ride safe

Nicely held. I presume it span mid overtake? I've had that happen before on a bit of diesel, not a good time for it to happen!

Have had that happen too, gravel in middle of road leading to rear wheel at 45 degrees to the front , pulled it through thankfully. Not a mistake I'll let happen again .
