I second the WD40.. just dont get it on the wheels! use it on a rag/cloth.. works wonders!

I use White Spirit on all my oily bits
Not found a better degreaser yet although i do recommend you wash it off straight away with soapy water.

As previous post. Use White Spirit on everything oily. Apply a bit on a rag and just give it a wipe, you'd be amazed how it removes all the oil. Just make sure you give it a good wash afterwards as you don't want any overspill going on the bits that are supposed to have oil on them. It's cheap and does the job.

Paraffin/Kerosene (can get it down at B&Q under "Parasene" heater fuel for about £1/Litre...

It dissolves any grease, muck and oil on contact... give the dirtiest areas a wipe over and then hose them down and the dirt's off. Easy

Just watch out for any neat 'distillates' on tarmac surfaces - they will destroy it. Petrol, paraffin, *Gunk*, even a puddle of oil, will all break down the tar holding the surface together.
