As regards these, I have heard that you can have them on providing that you cannot see the source of the light, only the glow. Any views guys...

from what i've heard, that is the general idea. The written law about it isn't clear so its definitely worth having a handy off switch. Amber light is safe as i beliieve this can go anywhere on a vehicle (except moving parts like wheels).
The next question is - why?? (says me with chavvy reflective blue rim stickers) ![]()

current lighting legislation requires updating regarding Neon lighting...however using the current legislation as a guideline...
side/headlamps -- white or yellow light indicators -- orange Rear tail/break -- Red anything else is pretty much an offence....showing other light to the front or rear....other than what is stated above is an offence...although the led lights on the washer jets is ok, but anylight that moves (i.e on windscreen wipers or on wheels) is an offence. (to do with emergency vehicles etc) If you have under lights...make sure the bulbs are hidden as this can distract other road users.... and as has been said.....put it on a separate switch!!!! have i missed anything???? I am sure you will say if i have.......... ![]() hope this helps Fraser |
