Default Trouble with blueflame

Sooo... there i was riding along the a20 as usual when I hear my bike sounding like a harley on steroids... look over my shoulder to see HALF my exhaust can rolling down the road. Pulled over and ran to pick it up before it got run over, and the inner baffle has sheared off, and the carbon fibre has disintergrated, leaving me with an open exhaust.

Written a sh*tty letter to blueflame telling them I want a refund (even though I didnt buy it) but now I'm stuck without an exhaust, as the standard one's been hacksawed to fit the blueflame. What can I do? I can't stand riding my gutless little RS125 around any longer!

Anyone got a fairly quiet one I can buy?

Many Thanks

Jake

I have a standard one that has been cut off a spare set of downpipes I got from ebay. Its tatty, and has a dent in it, but it would get you back on the road for the time being. You would need a sleeve to fit it, which are available from ART. PM me if your interested, I can send you some pics if you want, and then take it from there.

Dan.

How old was it? When was it last repacked?

Seeing as there is zero packing inthe exhaust it's no surprise that the carbon disintegrated. I don't see how you can blame Blue Flame for an old exhaust that hasn't been serviced properly.

the same happened to my g force carbon when it hadnt been repacked. v twins are hard on carbon cans because of the pulses in the gas. g force sold me all the bits to repair mine with a stainless sleeve for less than 30 quid delivered. a A++ company to deal with.

Here was me thinking you were all getting at SV Ecosse's Grant...

End an thing is a bit of a nightmare, wouldn't the packing come out when the can came off...

Jimmy was lucky he wasn't with you it would have hit him knowing his luck...

Looking the picture...did it have an extra strap around the can? Mine has a stainless bar and a strip supporting the can about 1/2 way up... looking at the pictures it looks likr the who can was supported by the pipe

(Slightly worried now as I have the same can!!!)
