Default Getting my Knee down tips please

Hi

OK now I am in possession of some leathers and sliders I have been trying this weekend to get my knee down, can I do it, nope

I found a couple of good wide roundabouts plus some other twisty bits of road that are nice and quiet and traffic free. Things I am doing

I am hanging one bum cheek off the seat.

I have the balls of my feet on the pegs. the foot of the leg that I am trying to get my knee down with I have right on the outside of the peg.

I am looking through the corner and not looking at my knee or foot.

I am sat right on the front of the bike right up close to the tank thats just how I ride I dont know if that will help or not

I trust my tyres and I feel confident in the grip that they give me and the feedback.

Any other tips or is it just practice practice practice..

Or should I just take an angle grinder to my sliders

I can't see why getting one's knee down should matter so much.

Surely scuffed sliders is synonymous with angle grider ownership .

When hanging off the seat, make sure your body is rotating and effectively lifting your leg higher.

I shouldn't worry too much about the feet. Try doing some stretching before you get on the bike. Your inside leg may not be quite flexible enough.

Otherwise it is practice. You'll get it eventually. It's easy but pointless.

Just rub them on the road a few times and velcro them back on

Don't do what one rider in our group did though and rub them the wrong way how embarrasing

i dunno fizwheel. im in the same boat as you . . . i tell people its cos im short.

ive seen some lanky guys going round roundabouts with their knee down . . .barely leaning the bike over at all.

also, ensure that you are accelerating as you are going into the corner.

On the Height thing, I'm 6ft 1ish...

Yep I'm accelerating into and through the corner, but nice and gently and not giving it a massive handful of throttle
