Being a cheapskate I wondered what I could use to clean a K&N filter and then re-oil it without going down the official K&N route.
Any suggestions? |

£9.99 for a filter care kit, you can re-use the cleaner and the oil lasts for ages or you can use something else and in 6 months time the cotton will crumble to nothing causing you to buy another filter.
I know which is the cheaper option! I worked for the uk distributer for a few years and got to see all sorts on the warranty side, where people had tried the 'cheap' option |

It's not for the sv. My Camaro has twin K&N's that seriously need cleaning. The car's going to be sold soon anyway so I just wondered if there was anything else that I might already have that may work.
