SV Fuel Consumption - SV650.org

Just wondering what sort of fuel consumption figures you guys get from your steeds, especially if you've got a nekkid SV.

I got curvy faired at get about 130-140 miles before warning light starts blinking. Though driving economically on this Tesco 99 RON stuff i see easily over 150+ before light comes on.

So i guess thats around 50-60mpg

For all of the harsh city riding I do I usually average about 50 mpg.

160 flicking on and off reserve for me - this was yesterday on a Naked K4 2-up - with a Yoshi can on, no other mods - got 13 litres in so could have run it for another 40 miles probably (suprised at reserve coming on so early)

Most riding was in NSLs but also some bimbling around 30 limits, I tend to keep it in a higher gear though and use the torque (and also because it sounds better

13 litres = 2.96 galons :: 160 miles = 54 mpg which is pretty excellent. I think an equivalent car would be something like a Smart City or a small 1.4 diesel.

45-50mpg and thats even when going in excess of 70mph on a closed private road

i find my pointy is great riding like i'm running it in (below 5k) but when i'm out on a blast i change gear usually about 9 or 10k and its CACK
