Default Free mod done!!

Well, just to let you know, i have just done the quickest mod ever. I have now done the 2nd/3rd gear ignition retarder removal mod. 5 minutes thats all it took. Thanks to instructions from www.sv650.tk . Took it out for a test ride, and have no idea if it has made any difference at all, but hey, its another mod, and it seems successful cos the bike still works.

Well there you go, i just had to tell someone!!

2nd/3rd gear on sv has retarded ignition, (mainly for noise control regs as i understand it). you can buy those g-pack thingies to do the same. this mod can be done for free following several HOW TO's.

Did it last year, I think you need a dyno to tell the difference. Very slight improvement.

It`s the TRE mod ( timing retard eliminator ) You can buy a resistor pack which plugs in to do the same thing.

I'm the exact same, it felt exactly the same to me as well.

I have now raised the tank 5mm at the front. Used a couple of large nuts for now, will get some spacers soon.

Yep, but it's not so easy. Restrictors and whatnot I think.

You can do it but its not as simple as cutting wires like the curvy ones
