Default Curvy - Pointy exhaust systems....

I have a pointy.
I am looking at getting an exhaust system that is has been designed for a curvy.

Is it poss to swap it onto mine with only getting the can supports redone?

will it fit on my header bolts?
will the bulky subframe accomodate the pipes?
any probs as cans are designed for carbed engine, not injection?

please tell me it will work!

As Cloggsy says, they are different. The problem is mostly the pipework, since it's a pain to have modified or do yourself. Let's face it, if you could easily do mods to the pipework you wouldn't need to buy a complete system.

bugger, big blooming pants!

in what way does the pipework differ?
does it just need to be heated up and nudged?

Silly question

Why not just buy a system for a pointy and save yourself the hassle ?

It's a different shape. I don't know a great deal about it, but I think there's enough difference that if you heat it up and nudge it you'll drastically change the internal area of the pipe, ie, affect the gas flow dramatically.

Have you had a trawl through ebay and the for sale section on here, you should be able to find something for £300 I would have thought ?

Completely different is a bit of an exaggeration. For instance, the Micron system for the carbed bikes can apparently be fitted to the injected bikes with minimal modification... Though don't quote me. But different enough to make it a ****ard would be fair
