Plastic repair and painting help - SV650.org

Still gradually putting the pieces back together on my broken beast and would like some advice if possible.

1. Can anyone offer advice on making repairs to fairing plastic - got a couple of cracks. What's the best way to repair them? What's the best product to get and where can I get it?

2. Painting - I've found I need to buy YD8 Metallic Sonic Silver (mine's a 2002 SVS). I'll need to paint the areas of repair - any advice? I also bought a black front mudguard off e-bay. It's already painted a gloss black colour, but I was planning on putting a silver stripe down the middle of it. Aerosol looks easiest, but what do I need to do to prepare the surface? Do I need to put a top coat of some kind on as well. Where can I buy all the stuff I need in the UK? The recommendation on this site Colorrite seems to be US based.

Any advice greatly appreciated!

some people say that they cant get hold of pre mixed paint.

but if u want. . . i will get the guys phone number i got mine for . .. highly recommended - great colour match.
