A nitrous kit would be the cheapest and could at least be easily removed.

I'm not quite sure how my insurance company would react to the thought of any of the polled items

I vote billet crank and stronger rods, since any of the other three are just asking for trouble with a stock bottom end...

Of the three up there supercharger probably makes most sense, the boost levels will have to be pretty low so supercharger response would be more of an asset than nitrous or turbo grunt. A wet nitrous boost would be the easiest by far to do though.

yeah what i should have said was, engeneering permitting (or at least with all the needed modifications) which option would you prefer? i understand that the rods would probably snap like toothpicks if a big turbo was stuck on the sv and a badly set up nitrous kit would probably blow un a standard motor. i agree that a billet crank would be nice, maybe somthing from falicon, and some better rods as well. i dont think insurance companies like any type of modification so well leave them out of it just for now. does anyone even know if it would be possible to hook up a turbo to an sv? i was thinking blow through would work best, any thoughts, anyone know if a super/turbo is available for the sv??

Someone was putting a supercharged SV motor in a kart a while back, read about it on here... Sounded interesting. You could definately do any of the three if you chuck enough money at it

Getting insurance wouldn't be a problem. Not cheap, but not hard. When I got the modified bike forms through from Carole Nash I was really put in my place- many questions like:

"Does your bike have:
Turbocharger
Aftermarket crankshaft
Nitrous
A displacement increase of more than 50%
Custom frame
Engine from a different model"

While I was filling in "It's got light up gauges..."

can't see the need unless you have a race track or airfield handy
