Default LED Indicators

Can anyone recommend some LED indicators? Also, I'm assuming you'll need a load resistor since they don't pull enough current to flash at the right rate. I've seen commercial ones for about £20 but can't you just make one yourself with the right resistance? Anyone know the ohms I'd need and what rating resistor? Where would you mount it in the circuit too?

Thanks

Look on eBay, they had the resistors etc for LED's and they were only a couple of quid

I brought the motrax ones that came with resisitors. They stopped doing this now making you buy thier electronic relay! To be honest, i would stick with std bulbed indicators. They give a wide dispertion of light and can be seen at a greater angle.

Here's mine which I got from www.louis.de
They're quite nice and surprisingly visible.

I didn't bother with resistors so they flash pretty fast (even faster when I mounted my undertray with integrated LED flashers)
Still works though

Check Bandit Mania they do the built in cators mod, ie replaces the park lights. I think better than the LED, but that's my choice. Else Motrax do some nice ones.

I got resistors from Maplins £0.98 next day delivery £2.50

HG do resistors too, £2 each i think - nice big ones in a metal housing with mounting holes.

I've tried to replace my front indicators with LED ones and I still haven't found any i'm happy with - just not bright enough from the sides
